May Outing to Dallas Arboretum
The Keller Garden Club will enjoy a spring outing to the Dallas Arboretum in May 2026, just in time to see the gardens bursting with color. Late-spring highlights often include roses, daylilies, hydrangeas, and crepe myrtles, along with beautiful seasonal plantings throughout the grounds. After our stroll, we’ll plan to have lunch together—at one of the Arboretum’s cafés—to wrap up a fun day of flowers, fresh air, and friendship. For those interested in carpooling, we will meet at the Kroger parking lot, located at 976 Keller Parkway.
Garden Club Council of Fort Worth Tribute—75 Years!
Join us at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden – Deborah Beggs Moncrief Garden Center, (3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth) for a meaningful celebration honoring 75 years of the Garden Club Council of Fort Worth, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
For three-quarters of a century, the Council has played a steady, behind-the-scenes role in shaping a greener, more informed, and more beautiful Fort Worth region. Through its network of more than 20 clubs and plant societies across the surrounding counties, it has helped strengthen local gardening knowledge, encouraged hands-on community projects, and supported the exchange of practical horticultural expertise among gardeners of all experience levels.
Its impact is visible in community beautification efforts, educational programs in horticulture and design, and ongoing advocacy for thoughtful environmental stewardship. The Council has also helped cultivate a stronger appreciation for native and adapted plants, contributing to more sustainable landscapes across neighborhoods and public spaces. Just as importantly, it has built a lasting sense of connection among gardeners, turning shared interests into collaborative projects that benefit the wider community.
This celebration is a chance to recognize not just longevity, but the steady, cumulative influence of people working together over decades to improve their local environment—one garden at a time.

Tree City USA Proclamation
Keller: Proud Tree City USA
Keller is proud to be recognized as a Tree City USA community, a designation awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation to cities that demonstrate a strong commitment to urban forestry. This honor reflects Keller’s dedication to maintaining a healthy and sustainable urban forest for the benefit of its residents.
To achieve and maintain Tree City USA status, Keller meets the four core standards:
Tree Board or Department – Keller has an active tree board that guides and supports the city’s urban forestry efforts.
Tree Care Ordinance – The city enforces ordinances that protect trees and promote responsible tree management.
Community Forestry Program with Annual Budget – Keller invests in a structured program to maintain and enhance the urban canopy.
Annual Arbor Day Observance and Proclamation – Each year, the mayor or city council issues a proclamation recognizing Arbor Day and the importance of trees.
This year, the Keller Garden Club will be on hand Tuesday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. to receive the proclamation in recognition of the city’s ongoing commitment to its trees.
The celebration continues on Wednesday, November 5th at 9:30 a.m. at the Pollinator Garden behind the playground at Keller Pointe, where the Keller Garden Club and the City of Keller will plant a desert willow tree to mark Texas Arbor Day. All are invited to join in celebrating our community’s trees and the many benefits they provide.
